Q: Should I resign if the boss ask me not to come to the office anymore

I work as an accountant in a private firm. my boss has told me not to join from this month and says to collect the salary and bonus. in this case what should i do? should i resign?

Advocate Shweta Sharma answered
Yes, you can resign but what purpose will it serve? You are in the private sector so the only thing I would recommend is that you leave on good terms because you may require his reference for a new job. Was a formal employment co Tracy executed between you and the firm? What does it say abou notice period etc? It all depends on that.

Q: Amazon promised to give cash back but still not received

I bought an Iphone 5S from amazon. they had given the offer of cash back when i bought it. i was supposed to get the cashback by June. bt till date the amount of Rs.8400 is not been given. what should i do in this case?

Advocate Shweta Sharma answered
File a claims refund on their website. It's called Amazon A to Z claims. They are very responsive on phone as well. I myself have recieved refunds of money as less as 500 rupees. It takes time but it comes. But since in your case it has been so long, you can file a consumer complaint in the district forum. However be prepared to wait for a long time before anything happens as the condition of consumer forums in our country is really bad.

Q: Online shopping at YesStyle.com, Demand of unreasonable documents

I placed order to purchase some product from YesStyle.Com. Order no. 8500832 and made Payment through my net banking. The firm informed through email that I shall require sending them a KYC form duly filled along with IDs and one authorization form to receive the articles. It was informed that from 1st Sept 2014 KYC is mandatory and non-supply of documents shall lead to delay in delivery. During the order placement the firm did not disclose any such condition of submitting KYC and authorization letter. The firm has sent it back to Hongkong. What action can i take against them?

Advocate Shweta Sharma answered
Have you written to them about this? Check out this URL taken from their website and report it to them.http://www.yesstyle.com/en/online-safety-and-security-tips/m/help/section.html/hsi.1365Seems like a case of spam but I would really have to scrutinise the email to tell you for sure. Write to them on the email provided on their website and confirm whether it is necessary to fill the form etc.

Q: is Notorised Adoption paper Valid?

brother adopted 4 years back and was adopted from Bua.. his biological mother is asking her son back. we had a notorised adoption paper and and do not have an adoption deed. what can we do to keep him with us.

Advocate Shweta Sharma answered
There is very little information given by you to enable me to give you a proper response. However, you should know that having a written document is not the only condition to make an adoption valid. I am assuming you are a Hindu. The Hindu Adoptions and Maintainance Act 1956 lays down the essentials of a valid adoption. Your case has to be analysed in the perspective of this entire piece of legislation, that is the Hindu Adoptions and Maintiance Act. I suggest to purchase a bare act (50 rupees or so) and read it.
