Hello!! Compassionate employment cannot be claimed as a matter of right. However, you can file a Writ petition before the High Court and hope for a positive order. When it comes to claiming compassionate employment, delay plays an important role. So it is advisable to approach the Court soon. If the authorities tell you that you did not apply, it is important to have the copy of the letter and the acknowledgement while going to the court.

You can file a case in the high court for the direction to consider your application in the light of the law.According to you have applied for the job within a month from the death of your father .So you are eligible to approach the court for the direction.
