You should ask for internal enquiry in your matter wherein you should argue as to why you shall not be ousted. You should explain that not removing you from the job will not harm the organization as you will remain honest and careful for your job and organization. You should also be willing to say the same under oath. So that in case they still remove you then you can come before court on the ground of jeopardy.

It's better that you resign if you want to avoid unnecessary litigation and allegations because since your fraud is in the knowledge of your bm and if you resist to resign, he may inform to higher authority and you may be in more trouble and you would not be able to get a job also.

Resign and leave else they will remove you after disciplinary proceedings and may also level criminal charges against you. Also delete your post as it is your admission and you will be convicted on this basis.

What do you think you should do? You are lucky that you are not in jail. There is a distinction between mistake and fraud. Fraud is intentional. Mistake is unintentional. If you committed financial fraud then your employer ought to have reported you to the police.
