Need and Cost of Stay Order in a Domestic violence case

My sister in law lodged a complaint against her husband as he was beatinhmg and torturing her. Hr has also taken my sister in law saving from her job amounting to 4 lakhs and jewellery worth approx 10 lakhs. Her husband also needs to pay off 3 lakhs loan where my sister in law is guarantor also het husband has taken an auto loan amounting to 1.3 lakhs in het name.
The police took action and right now her husband is on bail. The officer incharge is suggesting us to take a stay on his only property which it seem is the only way of recovering our amount totalling approx 15 lakhs
Should we aproach court and which court for stay order and what will be the cost for obtaining stay
