i filed a divorce case. but my husband didn't appear for a single time then judge announced ex parte. when i checked status of my case it was showing 'petitioner evidence' but after next hearing status of case is appearing as ' arguments'.What does that mean? Why is it showing 'arguments' in case status.

As your husband did not appear before the Honorable court even after summons got recieved by him. That's why Judge allowed Exparte evidence.

In Exparte evidence, You recorded your statement, witnesses and other documentary evidence etc.

Now, It seems that your evidence has been completed and has been closed from your end.

So, the next proceeding would be Final Arguments from your side. In which, Your lawyer will present each and every fact, those are in your favour and would help to convince the Honorable court to get the desired relief I.e Divorce decree.

Thanks and good luck!
