Criminal revision Petition In Sessions Court
06-Oct-2023 (In Criminal Law)
We are respondent in the case. The case was dismissed in magistrate court. Petitioner has filled appeal in sessions judge. We had recieved notice and we had attended the court and we had filled objections. The next stage is arguments . So can you please explain what will be the process after this.
the court will hear arguments and decide whether FIR must be registered against you or not.
usually the court looks for patent illegality or lack of jurisdiction in the order of the magistrate.
depending on the order the aggrieved party can approach the High Court.
should you have any questions please feel free to contact me

Revisionary jurisdiction is very limited on the very limited aspect of perversity in the order, abuse of process and other under section 397. Since you are the respondents, the chances of winning the revision is high when the order passed is reasoned.
in appellate jurisdiction, the matter is tried afresh, evidence is appreciated and a whole new trial is conducted after ascertaining it like a trial court. if you are the respondent, you should contest the case vehemently.
