Can college withhold result if I did not pay semester fees

07-Dec-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Please Help...I am a single mother and took the risk of doing MBA hoping for a better future so that I don't depend on my parents for me and my daughter. During my second semester of my MBA my father was diagnosed with last stage of kidney disease. Since I don't have any siblings I was taking care of my father. After one month of dialysis and hospitalization my father passed away. Unfortunately I could not pay my semester tuition fees because I did not have a single penny as everything was spent on my father. Since I did not pay my tution fees and due to shortage of attendence my college did not allow me to pay the exam fees and write my exam. The next semester I paid my total semester fees ad exam fees with fine and have all my exams. But now only my exam results are with held. The college and university says that since I did not pay my second semester exam fees I am not eligible to continue and I have to take re admission. They are not giving my results. What do I do? I am helpless.

first and foremosst the college do not have any right in withholding your result with regard to non-payment of your semester fees which you had complied before writing the exam, secondly re-admission is ridiculous from their end, your can approach high court under article 226 and 227 by filoing writ of mandamus and getting directions from the high court of karnataka since your fundamental right is infringed .

The College allowed you to write exams, you wrote and your papers also may have been valued, only your results are withheld. So, you have to approach Court asking for a direction to College to declare your results. The college has to answer legally in court.
