Wife Ancestral land property question

07-Oct-2023 (In Civil Law)
Hello Sir/Madam, I want a legal opinion on below case My father in law has 2 brothers and their father had a land on his name which becomes an ancestral property. My father in law’s elder brother , got NOC signed from my father in law and his other younger brother and sold the land . So only my father in law’s and his brother’s NOC is required as it is ancestral property or even my wife’s and my other father in law daughter’s NOC is required. As my wife and her sister have no problem , can I (son in law) file a case to lock the constructed house on sold land ?

important thing in this matter is in what mode your father in-law got the property from the name of his father . the position of law as it is now is that during the lifetime of father a daughter cannot force partition , alienation is a different matter. second important thing is to see the NOC and the sale deed from the brother of your father . as a son in law you cannot challenge the matter take care power of attorney from your wife to represent her in court .
