Where should I file an appeal if my case was dismissed by court before

I submitted my IP in Tirupathi AP Addl civil court in the year 2009 ,the case was dismissed says not submitted Income tax returns and not given any direction about the money was deposited in bank ,so I wanted go for Appeal can I go for appeal in district court or to high court .? There is new law was passed all ip cases Appeal to go high court I want clarification wanted in this matter the judgment was passed on 5 th December 2016 and I got judgment copy on 20 of Dec 2016 ,but I already filed Appeal petition in District court so it was not numbered ,what I can do now
