Dear,

The wrong entry of the survey no in the Sale Deed can be rectified by you and the developer jointly by executing a supplementary document called Rectification Deed. A Rectification Deed is a document executed between parties to correct mistakes. In case the Sale Deed is registered, the Rectification Deed should also be registered. The requisite stamp duty and registration charges towards the Rectification Deed should be paid as per the laws in force in the state. Visit the concerned sub registrars office along with the developer and register the rectification deed after paying the requisite stamp duty and registration charges.

Your seller must correct any error in the survey numbers in your sale agreement. You can request that the authorities issue patta with the correct survey numbers in your name since the seller cannot be traced.
