Hi
Police could not find any material evidence in your case and hence want to close the FIR, but before doing so as per the procedure police must send u a notice. If you don't want the case to be closed you must appear before the court with an advocate, otherwise your case will be close.

Hi
Since the notice has been issued to you, you should submit your written reply and file facts as known to you. '
An FIR can be closed only by the court and hence you should represent your case before the magistrate .
if you choose to ignore the notice, then the consequences are that police might issue a warrant and then produce you before the court. better to reply to the notice or appear in person or through a lawyer.
