NCR is a Non-Cognizable report. It is the exact opposite of a FIR. Police are not empowered to investigate these complaints. These complaints usually involve abuse, threats and assaults with hands/kicks. They also include pushing, simple injury, etc.

You can check the online status of any FIR and also get a copy online from the website of police department. If not then you can send an RTI to the police department asking whether or not there is any complaint or FIR against you giving out your rest of the details like father's name address etc in order for them to track down any such complaint.
