Police called on wife's complain no written proof should i meet them

19-Apr-2023 (In Family Law)
My Wife arranged for a beating by her supportive family lives near by. I have left home ,residing separately for about 2 months but sending limited amount for household expenditure. she has gone to police.I am a highly paid staff of an MNC. I ignored phone call and waited for notice U/s-41crpc. But instead I receive a mail print out where police calling urgently for an enquiry. without any FIR no or Sec of accusation. Should we meet personally to meet in spite of chances of being arrested or ignore????

Please ask police to give you in writing or talk to your lawyer for the same do not go alone. They might implicate or harass you further. Which police station is it? Brief discussion is very necessary before guiding to proper path.

First of all, are there any chances of arrest by your wife?
Secondly,it is always better to talk to the police by yourself or via your lawyer so that if any f.i.r is registered on your name ,it can be known and you can apply for anticipatory bail beforehand.
If your wife has already filed an f.i.r against you,the police can arrest you based on that.

Kindly note that in such circumstances it would be advisable to go to the local police station where you may register a complaint against your wife and family members along with an Advocate or a person who you trust as witness to your complaint. On personal meeting with your wife should also be in presence of another person and preferably record the conversation in case you need proof.

Look, if you asked for enquiry by Police, then it is duty to attain before Investigation Officer. At present the Police did not started P.S. Case immediate after receiving the written Complaint. As a result of which, you did not find out the Case Details from the nearest Court.
My advise is to send any person first like Panchyet, Councillor or any other designation person before the Police Station for which he will talk with the Investigation Officer and then you go to met with him and after that, take Bail from the Ld. Court.
