How can I file case against cheating boyfriend ? Promise of marriage ?

I was in an relation with a boy for 4 and half years. He promised me to get married. I spent all my money on him since he was jobless. 3 years we both stayed in same home and We were in physical relations also. but now without telling me he got married with some other girl. until I came to knw he got married. after marriage also he use to talk normally and he played in my life. when I asked him about got married he didn't accepted and he acted like he didn't married. after that I informed in his home and his dad said if I entered in his life he will die like that. now he is telling without knowing only spoiled life. now leagally I got married. I can't marry u he is telling. and he said wherever u want u go and ask like that he is telling. I'm staying in Bangalore and he stays in Pondicherry. so Please tell me what cases can I do against him to teach him that he has no rights to use and throw a girl

In India, there is no specific law that governs live-in relationships, but the Supreme Court of India has recognized the concept of live-in relationships and given certain rights and protections to women in such relationships.

If a man in a live-in relationship marries someone else without ending his previous relationship, the girl in the live-in relationship may have several legal remedies available to her, depending on the facts and circumstances of the case. 

  1. Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005: The girl can file a complaint under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, which provides protection to women in a marriage or a relationship in the nature of marriage from physical, emotional, sexual, verbal, and economic abuse. The girl can seek protection, maintenance, and monetary relief from the man under this Act.

  2. Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973: The girl can file a petition under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, for maintenance from the man. The girl can claim maintenance from the man even if they were not legally married. 

  3. Criminal charges under Indian Penal Code, 1860: If the man has cheated or committed fraud against the girl by concealing his intention to marry someone else while being in a live-in relationship, the girl can file a criminal complaint against the man under Section 415 (Cheating), 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 376 (Rape) of IPC.

You can not marry him as he has already legally married. But you seem to be having all the proof for having lived / stayed together. You can lodge a police complaint against him. But your complaint should show that you only now learnt of his having married. So write the complaint carefully, if required take my help for it.

Hi,
Consult and discuss briefly and get relief. recent supreme court has said very clearly , if leaving together also treated as married couples, kindly consult and file a suit in bengaluru and get him from pondicherry or other place. Teach him lesson.

The story like facts you have narrated do not disclose as to what evidence you are having to establish that you lived together as husband & wife on his promise. Did anybody noticed that you lived together and in what address and whether in the rented house etc. The act of your boy friend is offence punishable under the Indian Penal Code etc. Approach the advocate of your choice with details. Have a cross check with other source. Thereafter chose to take action as permissive under the law. Law always help those who have been deprived of their right. Be confident. Good Luck.

There is no question of teaching lessons to anyone - you can only fight for the injustice caused to you - you can go to the police station with all the evidence that you have to show that he was in a relationship with you and file a complaint
