16-Jun-2023 (In Civil Law)
We booked a flat with galaxy builders and made rs 10 lakhs down-payment. Signed contract between builder and buyer. After that they r asking for 23 undated cheques for security reasons which was not informed nor written in the agreement. Our bank loan of rs 26 is already sanctioned against this.
Hi there,
The information that u have shared is insufficient to give answer to it. Pls elaborete about the situations.
If you have taken loan from the bank then u need not give the cheque to the builder. But if builder has provided the same they may require that. Pls share the contract details and other papers.

Kindly talk with the builder s regarding this and try to make them understand the insecurity that you feel and giving undated cheque is really dangerous and that too 24 undated cheques...move the dealing only according to the contract or else cancel it ask the money you paid back

You have only obligation to act up on the agreement. If there is no clause for handing over the undated cheques then you have no legal obligation to handing over the same.Undated and blank cheques are not given to them.
