Legal Compliances for a Private Ltd company

21-Jun-2023 (In Startup Law)
Hi, We are started registered in 2018 as a private limited company. Please tell me what are the monthly obligations that we have as a private limited company. Do we need a full-time CA? And what will be his/her monthly work? That firm is charging 12,000 per month right now. Is it okay or too much?

There are certain statutory and regulatory compliances that need to be complied with on either quarterly or annually basis, these compliances are in accordance with the Companies Act, 2013, and allied rules. Depending on the nature of business there may be other statutory compliances that need to be complied with.

There are some compliances that a private company has to make under the provisions and regulations of the Companies Act 2013. A full time Company Secretary (CS) is recommended for making sure that such filings and compliances are made from time to time. Engaging a CS full time and engaging a CA firm might be have cost differentials, but 12k seems reasonable. Lawyers can assist you for conducting due dilligence of checking whether compliances have been made or not or making a checklist of such compliances which would depend on your business.
