What is the stamp duty for a gift deed to transfer property from father to son? What is the ready reckoner/circle rate for Jalvayu Vihar Society in Powai?

The stamp duty on gift deed from father to son is ?200/- for residential premises and agricultural land and 2% of market value in respect of any other immovable property. Hope above answers your query adequately.

In Maharashtra, the Stamp Duty for Gift Deed from father to son is Rs.200 only and there is no need to go as per Ready Reckoner. Kindly go thru the new Maharashtra Stamp Act and you will get your query solved

If the property is gifted to a family member being any lineal ascendant or descendant of the donor, then the amount of duty chargeable shall be at rate of rupees ten for every rupees five hundred or part thereof on the market value of the property which is the subject matter property which is the subject matter of the gift, whichever is less.
