Dear Sir, An Agreement for Sale is a promise to transfer the property upon payment of purchase price. whereas, Sale is an immediate sale of property upon payment of purchase price. On Agreement for Sale buyer is required to pay Stamp Duty and Registration Fees on Market Value of the property and so on the Sale Deed. If you have already paid the SD and RF on a property, you need not pay it again. Regards, Adv. Shrikant Bagade

No once you had paid full stamp duty while drafting the agreement to sale the there is no need to pay sta.p duty again at the time of final sale deed. You can execute the final sale deed on the bond paper of one hundred.

The deed of sale confirms that the property has been sold and transferred from the seller to buyer. The deed will only be drawn after the contract terms have been clearly agreed. The Registration Act of 1908 also requires that the deed be registered at the registrar’s office.
