Surely you can claim your share in the property. Before that we need to know few more facts like in whose name the property is registered, when it was purchased, who spent money for purchasing it and so on. Please therefore fix up meeting for final opinion

Yes, you can, first of all you tell me how many siblings you have ? And how many children your grandfather had? After looking all the aspects I can tell you the exact situations, but one thing is clear you can claim your share in this property and can have stay as well.

The property that came to your father was the self acquired property of your grandfather and not joint family property. Your father became the owner of the property without any restrictions of the joint family property. Hence he can dispose off the property and you can't stop him unless a right was created in that property in your favour by a will by your grandfather.

As you have written that its the property which was inherited to your father. Therefore, it will be considered as an ancestral property upon which you have an equal right as per the Supreme Court's rulling, hence, your father can't sell it. If he does so you can file a suit to claim your part. For better assistance we can have meeting.
