Can brothers wife give POA to sell property to her brother in law

My Brother and Bhabhi are settled in Australia and want to sell their property in Mumbai. I stay in Mumbai and they plan to give a POA to me to carryout the sell. Can my brother's wife also give POA to me to sign the deed and appear before the registrar?

Power of attorney is created by the law of agency enshrined under the Indian Contracts Act. Therefore, any person can create an agency in favour of any person by executing a power of attorney. Based on this, your brother's wife can create a power of attorney in your favour.
