Want to file property distribution case directly in HC against brother

Hi, I'm from . I'm single. I want to know can I file a case on Guwahati high court directly without going to lower court Silchar. I wanted to file a property distribution case . Which is my dad's. Ww lost him 2 yrs back. My elder brother is not allowing us for distribution. Because as per him and my brother he should get all of it. We are 4 sisters and 1 brother

hello.....your matter seems serious but dont panic...its hard to say but one cant directly come to gauhati high court unless it is a revision matter or appeal matter....or a writ matter....ursis none of the above...so file it in civil court first..and for that your documents and details play a big role,,,,so hope we have them to present before the court.

In India, there is a hierarchy of courts, which means one has to first approach the lower courts for the remedy. I would suggest you to hire a lawyer from your area and ask him to file your case in the lower court first.
