Verbal abuse and harassment by elderly couple

17-Apr-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
I live in an apartment in main kolkata and here we have a elderly couple living with their daughter and the daughter's son. They choose to abuse me and harass me for no reason whatsoever but when asked they blame that I'm involved in prostitution. This has been going on for a long time, I'm just attending my college and after that I went to university. They also have a problem with delivery men to who come from amazon or flipkart to deliver things. They are old and use abusive language so nobody talks to them. But their attitude is becoming unbearable day by day.

first you need to record their activities without informing them for proof basis and as the laws are in favour of elderly people strict proof will be required then necessary steps can be taken with solid evidence be a calm attacker not an aggressive one battles can be won without aggression

you have not let us know what your status is in the building. if you are the owner of the premise and the neighbours are shared neighbours then you can obviously get a a mass petition signed and submit it with the the local police station and as the matter is breach of public peace as such you can initiate a proceedings under section 107 of the criminal procedure code and the elderly opposite party would have to to file a peace bond and even after filing peace bond they continue disturbing then they can be arrested and prosecuted. thank you.
