Onwer not returning back security deposit

Hi our rent agreement expired on 31 august 2018 and we vacated the house after that. The owner is refusing to return the deposit or give any date for return of deposit. what action can we take?

Sir give him a legal notice for recovering the deposit amount. Probably you will get ur amount at this stage. If he still does not r3turn the deposit amount, then u have different legal remedies like filing a suit in small causes or civil action by filing suit for recovery of money

Intimate him in written notice for specific time after that filed suit for recovery or if u have an agreement u can complain against him in concern police station for criminal breach of trust but first give him notice with in time
