Hello you can do a regular study course while in Government job only after taking approval from the department. Government department may sponsor you for the course with pay or grant you study leave without pay. However if you complete degree without permission it may be declared invalid. Concealing the true facts may initiate departmental enquiry as per service rules. For further advice please share more details to advise appropriately on case basis.

If you are a teacher in the government, you can pursue a degree while working. However, if you choose to take a job in the government based on your degree you may be subjected to disciplinary actions for misconduct.
