Delay in promotion due to not conducting DPC on time.

26-Nov-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Sir, I am working in a central government organisation and a group b gazetted officer. For the promotion in Gr A service, I need 2 years of residency period and I have served 7 years already in the organisation. Also the promotion rules are 1:3 ( 3 Gr A vacancies filled through direct recruitment, one by promotion of Group b to Group A). By this rule there are sufficient vacancies are available for DPC but my department is careless about my promotion. Sir, what should I do?

Getting a direction from High Court to let the department conduct the yearly DPC in a time bound manner as per the rules wil serve your cause....
one can always file a petition after sending a Service Matter representation to the department to decide the same or alternatively challenge the outcome in High Court.
