Can school terminate me on grounds of bad results of students

04-Jul-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I have been working in a CBSE affiliated school for the past 6 years. suddenly the school management has terminated me and the justification given is that my 12 class result is not satisfactory. Can the management terminate me on such grounds ? are there any CBSE rules for this since the school is affiliated to CBSE. Can I legally contest my termination ?

If it is a private school then your employment will be governed according to your employment contract.
You can challenge the wrongful termination and claim for compensation.  In case of a Private School, a Civil Suit for declaration, mandatory injunction and recovery of arrears can be filed.

Yes you can challenge the termination order which has been passed without giving you an opportunity of hearing as it is in violation of the rules of natural justice. A better opinion can be given if the relevant papers are shown.
