Worried for pre-wedding fake dowry case

01-Oct-2023 (In Family Law)
Hello, I got engaged to a girl 6 months ago. But after the engagement, I found the thinking of girl is totally different from me and there are compatibility issues. Seeing this, I told the girl and both the families that I'll not be happy in this marriage. Now, the girl's side is pressurising me and my family to complete the marriage. I'm worried that they will be filing fake dowry, 420 etc. related cases on me and my family. How to counter their fake allegations? And how should I refuse them for the marriage such that it won't backfire on me in case they file a complaint.

If you don't want to marry, just don't. Don't worry about false cases.

Your question that how should you refuse, is totally wrong. Because there is no method or procedure of refusal. Just refuse, refusal will never backfire in any manner!

Fake/false allegations can be successfully countered/defended in the Court of law. But there is no pre-arrangement in law which may stop the opposite party from filing cases against you. Whenever they file cases, you will have to fight them.
