What to do my husband tortures me

I am arpita....i am married for 7years...i have a kid....my husband is a charecterless man...touture me physically.....and didn't agree to give any expenses of my son....what do i do
you must file domestic violence case and 498 a case against your husband , he will be bound to pay manitenance as order by court plus you can get residence orders and filing such will put him under pressure and he cant escape from responsibilities

You need to file a case against your husband under the Domestic Violence Act. Under the same Act you can even ask your husband to pay for your maintenance. Your husband cannot simply fly from his duties and responsibilities. Apart please get your husband very clear that you are his wife and not Gulam.

Best way is to file a case under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act and pray for maintenance for your child as well as you. You can also claim alternative accomodation , the expenses would be borne by your husband. You can also claim medical expenses there. Dont go for 498A IPC, because you will not get any relief if your husband goes to jail. Best thing is file a case under the above Act and claim separate kinds of maintenances
