No one can force you for getting divorce, unless you wish. If they will file petition regarding to divorce you can resist the same by filing your defence. Go with proper litigation under provisions and get remedy.

Under the law, divorce can be obtained on valid grounds listed in Section 13 of Hindu Marriage Act. ( I suppose, both of you are Hindus, if not, please clarify, advice can be then revised. ) Those grounds are like, cruelty, adultery, desertion, lunacy, impotency, etc. Husband can not force you to divorce him unilaterally. Don't worry, if situation worsens, do consult a good lawyer.

Hello, Firstly, speak to your husband and in-laws regarding the issue and try to amicably resolve the issue, if still they resist your presence in the house, you may file a complaint of DV, cruelty and mental trauma against them and demand compensation and guarantee but use this as the last resort. If the issue resolves amicably nothing like it. Try to find facts and cause for this step. You may contact us for further assistance.
