If the status is showing as counselling then the upcoming date is not final. Once the mutual divorce petition is filed a chance is given for counselling before the appointed authority who will submit the report to the honourable court...

After filing and mediation on same first day, 6 months of cooling period is given by court, however same can be waived off by taking case onboard giving appropriate sufficient and immediate reasons within only 2 months to finaloze the Divorce and get the decree drawn. Hence 6 months in total, minimum 2 months for wavier. Regards, Adv. Yogesh Tahiliani

Every mutual divorce ends up in maximum of six months and is less money consuming. It can also be done before the prescribed 6 months by filing a prepondment application before the same court where the mutual divorce is pending. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Mutual Divorce timeline depends on the district court in Delhi in which you are eligible to file your case. It can take anywhere from 3-6 months approximately. Please contact me for a detailed discussion as we will have to first figure out whether you can even file your mutual divorce case in Delhi or not.
