husband filed for transfer petition mat suit pending in district court

26-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My divorce case has been pending in district court (since 2018). i did not ask for alimony, only that he won't have any contact with me or my son. my cross-exam over, he has not appeared in the last two hearings. now I get dasti notice (by email) that he has filed for a transfer of the case to Kerala. He called up my workplace and now is sending something here. Can I not accept whatever it is? What should I do? How to represent in the Supreme Court?

We need to first understand whether he has appealed in Supreme Court of transfer of case from one state to another since inter state transfer petition are only entertained in Supreme Court. Secondly not accepting his written application will not help you in any manner as then he will get an exparte order in his favor. You actually need to challenge the Petition and fight it out in Court. If you need any assistance on the same feel free to consult us.

You have to hire an advocate from the Durene Court and represent yourself. Moreover you have to give an objection to such a transfer of suit... For a detailed query kindly contact me for an appointment for consultation.

you can appoint any lawyer of your choice to appear and respond in the supreme court. the lawyer you engage will take care of your case. it is always better to accept the service and engage a lawyer of your choice than to avoid service and go unrepresented.
