You can go for discharge only after chargesheet is filed. However, if the allegations in the FIR is frivolous and false then you must go for quashing. Feel free to contact me for seeking any legal advice/assistance as regards the same

You cannot file quashing or dishcarge as your wife has filed a case for monthly maintenance from you the only thing you can do is that you appear in the matter and file your reply and prove that you sre not liable for psying maintenance to your wife as she is your ex wife

If your ex-wife has filed a false case under Section 125 CrPC for maintenance, you have multiple legal options. Quashing under Section 482 CrPC in the High Court can be pursued if you have strong evidence proving the case is baseless. However, dismissal or discharge in the trial court may be a quicker approach if you can prove that she has sufficient income or is making false claims. Gathering evidence like her financial records, employment status, or contradictions in her statements will strengthen your defense.
