Accidentally stumbled across illegal websites

21-May-2023 (In Cyber Crime Law)
I was conducting a personal research on cyber anonymity which required me to browse the deep web through TOR. I came across a link list on a website and started visiting the links there. The first 20-30 links were normal websites like social media and news. Then I came across websites that hosted illegal and immoral things like child pornography, selling drugs and guns, etc. I had no intention to visit these websites and accidentally stumbled upon them during research. Did I commit a crime? And is it worth it to report those websites through Cyber Crime portal?

Well, visiting Dark Web in itself is not a Crime. But those visiting Dark Web often , Govt keeps a tab of those people. At times, you have to give proper explanation before any Cyber Branch Police Official. Better you should avoid browsing Dark Web. As Criminals, Drug Peddlers, Pornographers access Dark Web for indulging in illegal activities and Police access Dark Web to nab them

it will be a good step of you report the same on cyber crime portal it will be helpful for you only in near future if you by mistake got trapped in any cyber crime as per govt record so please do report the incidence and provide the links to the cyber crime department
