What is the time period to get an FIR quashed in High Court ?

29-Nov-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Mr.X along with others robbed by father shop and took the possession of my father shop.A case was filed against this person in court. To compromise the case outside the court Mr.x gave us various threatening, the same has been informed to SP POLICE and other higher authority by e-mail. When my father didn't agree to their words, Mr.x filed a false FIR against me and my father to trouble us. But fortunately my father was out of station on the FIR date, which can be proved .After that we are in conditional bail from high court. At present I am selected in a central govt. job. So i want to quash the false FIR under section 482 in High court of Odisha. I just want to know whether my approach is correct or there are some other alternatives. If yes what is the procedure of quashing and its duration. Will this matter affect in my joining process .

You have not mentioned that under which sections of the ipc for was lodged.
If you are falsely entangled in this case then you can challenge it before highcourt through quashing u/S 482 of crpc. You have to challenge the field.

Under section 482 Cr PC you can squash the fir if there is sufficient material in support of you. But it will take time for final disposal of the case. It may take one year . Better you try to file discharge petition

FIR filed on a false ground in an offence non cognisable can be quashed if evidence is produced in favour of the petitioner in CRPC Sec482 and relief can be prayed in OHC.Listing may take a next 4daystime and order copy

as u have taken conditional bail from the high court u can file a CRLMC ( application under section 482 Cr. P.C in the High Court and get the matter quashed. u have not mentioned when and under which section Mr. X filed the FIR against you and your father.
as far as your govt. job is concerned, there is no such bar but u must reveal fairly the pendency of criminal case, bail and everything in the forms and affidavit which are to be submitted with the department.
