  2. Consult an Attorney: Seek legal advice from an experienced attorney who specializes in criminal matters. They will provide guidance on the appropriate legal actions you can take.
  3. File a Police Complaint: You can file a complaint with your local police station against your boyfriend for harassment. Provide all the evidence and details you have collected.
  4. Restraining Order: You may consider seeking a restraining order or protection order from the court to prevent your boyfriend from approaching or harassing you further.
  5. Legal Action: Depending on the severity of the harassment, you may explore legal options such as filing a criminal case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) or a civil case for damages.
  6. Collect Witnesses: If there were witnesses to the harassment, gather their statements or contact information as they may be called upon to testify.
  7. Legal Representation: Hire a lawyer to represent you in court proceedings. They will help build a strong case on your behalf.

  9. Mediation: In some cases, mediation or counseling may be suggested as an alternative to legal action. Consider this option if it's appropriate for your situation.
Remember that each case is unique, and the legal process can vary based on the specific circumstances. Consulting with an attorney is crucial to understanding your rights and the best course of action to address mental and physical harassment by a boyfriend.
