Liquor purchased from other place in same district

I purchased 4 quarters liquor from another place which is 25 kms distance from my home in same district.while returning to home a police caught me and filed a liquor smugling case on me.
I purchased that to consume myself. But they not not listened my words they filed case on me.
Now what is my position,and suggest how can i will react
taking 4 quater liquor from one place to another within 25 km is not an illegal so you can contest the case the case will be dismissed if an opportunity given to me I will contest and win this is not big issue
