Fraud BPO data entry, printing and lamination project outsourced

19-Feb-2023 (In Civil Law)
I am a consultant. Gave a BPO data entry project to one of my Vendor. The vendor fulfilled all the conditions and delivered the work for data entry, printing and lamination and couriered it to client office. Invoice raised for 5799 files x 30 Rupees = Rs1,73,970/-. Remaining 6524 data records were never received for printing or lamination. I took 50k Consultation fees which I returned to the Vendor last week, I got acknowledgement for that. I only signed by consulting agreement in which there is no clause mentioned that i would be responsible for the payment if the Client does not pay the vendor. Kindly advise if I am safe.

You can't be held responsible for default of client Because it is duty of clients to clear his liability by paying to vendor. And there is no such clause in agreement with vendor. Therefore you can not held liable.
