Dear Sir/Madam, I am a divorced woman of 42 years of age and not married again. I got an ex-parte divorce from a lower court recently. I am residing with my only son (age 14+ years) studying in class eight. I am getting alimony of Rs. 400,000/- per annum from my ex-husband whose income per annum is more than 12 lakhs. Will my son eligible to get the 10 per cent reservation for economically backward upper castes in higher education and government jobs both State and Central Govt. I and my ex-husband are from general/upper castes. I’ll be obliged if you kindly inform me of the documents needed for getting the opportunity in details. Please don’t disclose my identity. Thanking you in advance. Regards

I dont think the reservation is applicable at this point of time so I don't think you will get any reservation at this point of time. At this point of time you can make a first class affidavit declaring that your son belongs to higher class.
