Clarification on getting property back if papers are missing

Respected sir, Before twenty years back my grandfather leaved his land to another person for their survival to residence,after some years they act as owner for our land but my grand father filed a case against them and he won the case.later due to some natural calamity,those respected documents were missed.by taking this as a advantage,they tends to prepare the patta and registered on their name because he is an vao our our village..... Respected sir, is it possible to get back my land?.....kindly reply to my query

First of all creation of Patta in the other person's name will not affect your grandfather's title to the land. Patta is not a document of title it's a revenue record only. If you have lost the decree copy and if you remember the number of the suit you can apply for a certified copy of the decree from the concerned court.
