When to send a legal notice for a cheque bounce case

There is a cheque which has bounced on 20th of the month. It has been 20 days since the cheque bounce, what is the time frame within which i have to send him a notice. should i send him notice in person or through mail, please clarify.

You've missed the bus. You'd to tender the demand notice upon him with in 15 days of the bounce of cheque. In anycase, you should now send him the notice without wasting time anymore

Dear friend when any cheque bounce with notes " insaficiant amount " after knowledge of bounce you send legal notice with in period of 30 days if after receiving notice the drawer fail to paid cheque amount with in the period of 15 dayes then you filed a case again the drawer

There is 45 day time to file a suit of 138 Ni act and within this time period you can send a notice(with in 30 days) and file a suit and serve notice either by registered post or by email also. There is no specific format of notice jost requesting email to clear the cheque would qualify to be notice contemplated u/s 138 or notice sent by registered post properly addressed to recipient is sufficient service of notice

Which date mentioned in your bank memo. You can send a legal notice through a advocate within 30 days of recieving bank memo date received from the your bank. By a registered post. And keep a copy of notice and postal receipt.

As per the act the time frame for sending legal notice is 30 days from the knowledge of the said bouncing. the check can be send through mail but it is always advised to send the notice through an advocate and by post so that later it can be presented in the court of law. The time in the notice will be 15 more days from the date of receiving notice and there after the case has to be filed.
