Cheque bounce case convicted appeal in high court

25-Oct-2026 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
I am convicted in cheque bounce case and appealed in high court which asked me to deposit 50% of fine amount which i can't make it. I am A1 and my brother is A2 in the case. Is there any possibility that only i can go for imprisonment (A1) and make my brother(A2)safe without punishment. Please explore the possibilities

In a cheque bounce case under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act (NI Act), a conviction appeal moves through a tiered court structure, starting with an appeal before the Sessions Court rather than directly to the High Court
