31-Aug-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
Hello, I am working with a private company in Gurgaon and as a security (2 years bond) company has took 1 lakh rupees cheque from me but till now I did not sign any legal bond neither any documentation has done related to that cheque. Company has just provided me the receiving of cheque. Now, If I leave the company before 2 years and request to the bank to stop the payment of that cheque. So in this case will company has any rights to take any legal action against me ?

As you said that u gave one cheque of Rs.100000/- to the company, did you sign on any contract or employee's agreement. Further you have received the receipt from your employer regarding this cheque does that mention that your cheque is for security purpose. So at the time of quiting the company, before two years if you go for stop payment of cheque then it will lead to cheque bouncing case. If it is mentioned in your contract that you will be liable to pay to the company the cost of training if you leave before two years, then in that case company can also go for civil remedy against you.
