Forced to give an insufficient cheque by a creditor

I have taken debenture of 5lacks rupees on interest with my one friend after a year he asked me to pay 8lack(3lack as interest) ..he forced me to give a cheque of 8lack which I gave to him but due to insufficient amount it bounced..now he send me legal notice at 2months ago but I did not receive..can i do something now? or I may get trap in the legal process?what should I do next ..please help me

Ji haan ap complaint file krein aurapni sabhi baaton ko adalT ko batayein ki kab kaise kyon 5 lak ke baad 8lakh manga gya dra dhamka kr aur ane poori batein nahi likhi notice kab mili then aapne us notice ka jawab diya

138 N.I. Act is a strong tool for recovery of money. In your case you already signed a cheque bearing a cost of Rs. 8 lacs, in such circumstances it is advised that you should show us all the documents related with this case. Then only a suitable advise can be extended in your matter.
