17-Feb-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
I had given a friendly loan of Rs. 10,00,000 to a friend of his business and in lieu of the same, he gave me a cheque. Now, when i presented the cheque to the bank, it came back with a return memo stating insufficient funds. I want to file a case and recover my money as my friend is not ready to pay back the same or give me any assurance.

Hi,it is advisable to issue a legal notice within thirty days from the date of dishonour of cheque ..If he fails to return the amount ,you can file a criminal complaint under negotiable instrument act ..It is a criminal offence having a penalty of double the amount and one year of imprisionment
