Q: Girlfriend threatening to file complaint in Women Commission

I am Hindu working under central govt. I am involving with a woman who's separated-widow having a 6 years daughter. But I have girlfriend to whom I am getting engaged next month. Unfortunately, the woman whom I'm involved with is pregnant. Initially itself she is ready for abortion and asked for abortion medicine through SMS. I provided her and we promised to start a fresh life. But then, she called me and said that she didnot eat the medicine and she is still pregnant and now 2 months. I told her that it is not possible and ask for forgiveness that it was consensual and mistake, but then she threaten me of calling police and calling women rights commission. Please help me on what steps should I take and what if she comes with a baby after 9 months. Because I will not be in a position to answer to my family and I cannot marry her and also I don't want the child.

Advocate Shahbana Nasrat answered
Dear, What you have done is an illicit act and wont keep you in darkness but there is a minimal chances of escape. As you have had involvement with her and she is pregnant , i believe that was done with both your consent. If she complains or lodges an FIR or similar, it would really cost you...So i suggest you to make an out of court settlement and arrange a maintenance for the child till majority is attained. Don't force her to abort as that would be a crime too. Be honest to your fiancee if u wish to about it and plan an arrangement for paying maintenance..Hope that will save you.

Hi, I'm from . I'm single. I want to know can I file a case on Guwahati high court directly without going to lower court Silchar. I wanted to file a property distribution case . Which is my dad's. Ww lost him 2 yrs back. My elder brother is not allowing us for distribution. Because as per him and my brother he should get all of it. We are 4 sisters and 1 brother

Advocate Shahbana Nasrat answered
hello.....your matter seems serious but dont panic...its hard to say but one cant directly come to gauhati high court unless it is a revision matter or appeal matter....or a writ matter....ursis none of the above...so file it in civil court first..and for that your documents and details play a big role,,,,so hope we have them to present before the court.

Q: Is it mandatory to appear before National Investigation Agency

We are from Madhya pradesh and we received a witness summons from National Investigation agency to appear before them in Guwahati in some case of 2012 for witness, We have already replied in 2012 in written that we don't know the accused and we don't recognise him, as we were informed that the accused caught with the i card of our company, upon which we reverted that we don't issue such i cards and the concerned person was never with us... is it mandatory to appear before guwahati court

Advocate Shahbana Nasrat answered
When you receive a summon it is advisable to appear...you maybe not involved at all but when you don't appear it is kind of offending the court..so I suggest you appear. .M sure you have d date on which you are to appear.....kindly do appear
