Q: Regarding nomination as a society committee member
In my society association process is going on. My name is not there in the sale deed. My husband and my mother-in-law name is there. I want to nominate myself for one member of committee. Am I eligible for the same as the owner wife. If not what is the way/process for the same. Please suggest me some way by which I can nominate my self.
Advocate Ravishanker N answered
Normally it is governed by the bylaws of the society. It's usually the owners who are entitled to be a MC. However, there are several sub committees which normally exist such as the cultural committee, sports committee etc. There are no restrictions in joining these committees irrespective of the bylaws.

we need to see the rental agreement and the clauses to see if this legal. if it is silent, the charges levied are irrational and can be challenged. hence, we need to look at the clauses of the agreement to make a decision

it's risky to buy such property as it would technically fall as 2 different plots with different dimensions. what's the builder or developer saying about this? are they planning for re conversion. please obtain clarity before you proceed.
