Q: Girl child rights on stepmother property after she died.

My stepmother has brought a piece of land from her income. She died couple of years ago. Now my father has gifted that property to my brother. Do I have any rights as a girl child to challenge this gift deed. Since it was done without my consent.

Q: Court notice to appear for divorce notice applied

I have applied for divorce 13-b in 2015 and the cross is happening now. Since I got the job abroad I am not able to appear for the case. What will happen if I don’t appear despite the court notice is received today.

Q: Remarriage after a divorce in India

Sir/madam, I have filled a divorce case in Bangalore and my wife had filled 498a & restitution case in different city. We mutually agreed through mediation to take divorce and all the cases including divorce is disposed now. When can I remarry? Is there any wait period? Initially i have applied for contested divorce, but since we got divorced through mediation, will it be considered as mutual divorce and can marry anytime? Pls clarify. Thanks

Hi, 498A and all cases withdrawn? Divorce granted or not yet? based on clearing all the pending cases and after divorce , you can remarry again. It is advised not to remarry by keeping cases pending.
