What are the licenses required for running a PG

29-May-2023 (In Startup Law)
I am interested in leasing a big house, which in-turn I will convert to a PG and sub-lease it to PG boarders. I want to know what are the licenses and permissions needed for me to operate a PG.

Well this is largely an unregulated sector and I dont suppose you will need to comply with any strict legal requirements. But make sure that the lease agreement that you sign is properly drafted to allow operation of a PG.

Please take note of following -
If you wish to do it as a business then it would be better if you could get a company registered for the same along with other necessary compliance.
Over to this, you will be requiring permission from the Municipality and the electric and water connection to that house will be of commercial rather than residential.
Rest of the details can be divulge if you will spill the bean and explain the whole idea in detail.
