Original Registry deed missing how can it be obtained

16-Jan-2023 (In Property Law)
sir, I have a ancestral land which I got through a partition deed between my Dad and Uncle. I am the only son and my dad is no more. The original deed of the land was on my Grandma name. Recently I constructed a small commercial building here & I requested SBI to install an ATM in the frontmost room. The Bank authorities agreed and have asked certain documents including the original deed.I gave them a recent tax receipt which is on my father's name(he expired in may 2016),also gave them the photocopy of Partition deed between my dad and uncle and the map duly approved by municipal authorities. But I am not able to find the original deed which happens to be of around 1954 as I heard my dad saying.I searched everywhere including registry office but couldn't find it.Although mutation has been done on my Father's name. So Now I am scared that bank might refuse for ATM installation due to uncomplete papers.Plz suggest any alternative either to convince the Bank or any other way. Thankx

Venerated Sir,
Salutation!!!
You have raised query about how to get lost original deed. As per your issue I would like to inform you that you have one option to collect your document in record room because in every district Government made a Record Room where documents relating to land are in their custody. For the satisfaction of bank you can notarized the photo copy original partitioned deed and also make an affidavit regarding lots of documents thereafter, hand it both documents to Bank authorities. As per Evidence Act Your xerox copy of partitioned deed will be treated as Secondary eidence after lost of original deed, it is admissible in Court. It is the duty of the Bank to accept Secondary evidence after lost of original document. I hope you must be Zamabadi or receipt copy of that land then hand over the xerox copy to the Bank authorities. I hope if you will collect all above things then Bank will take your stand positively.
