How to execute will

Hi, Recently, unfortunately my friends father expired. He had a will duly registered in my friend name stating transfer of property in bangalore.which is old house in 30'x 40 ' site. Can you please help with the process and formalities in order to execute the will or only transfer katha in BBMP.
As per law, will need not be registered and one more thing is that will is attested by two witness it is sufficient.
You have to present the copy of the will in the BBMP office and change the katha in you and your friend name.

If your friend is having the originally written signed will in his possession, then if there are other heirs to his father, he has to get a probate of the will done through civil court. If he alone is the heir to his father, he can get khata transferred to his own name at BBMP.

Check out whether property is self acquired or ancestral and also is there any other interested legal heirs to the property or any litigation is pending or any body who may claim against the Will. If no such legal hurdle is there means you can apply for the khatha transfer with the documents like Will, Title deed of the property, previous khatha, tax paid receipts and taking DD addressed to Commissioner of BBMP , Bangalore you can apply before the authority.
